However i cant seem to get firefox to list realplayer as the plug in to run avi. I know it is not a problem for realplayer to run these files and i also have purchased a divx player.
I believe this is due to the fact the site in quetions uses avi with the so-called divx extensions. However when I used the Quicktime preferences tab to enable Quictime to run avi it generates an error because 'quicktime is missing software'. When checking the forum help on this I noticed that avi was not associated with any player when you look in about:plugins. page with an avi will show missing plug-in required
I have looked at the plug-in fixes offered in this forum and they have not helped. I have encountered a problem when firefox encounters a page with an avi file.
